African Trade Bead Necklace Kate Drew-Wilkinson
I've collected these trade beads for decades.. And each one in this necklace is in excellent condition. The necklace is strung on a thick strong cord and the beads are spaced with Dopper hishi, made in Kenya. I slipped one of my own beads in here because the hole was large enough to fit the finishing knot. And there is a small zen mistake there, two beads close! The necklace is 25 inches long and hand kntted. You can't see those knots,, they are inside the beads...If you know or are studying beads made in the 17th to 18th and 19th Centuries, you will see that this is historic wearable art..!
