African Trade Bead Necklace Rare Sandcast
$75.00
The middle one is an eye bead and was only worn by a Tribal leader. The Akoso is a highly valued type of powder glass bead found in Ghana, West Africa. Akoso beads are thought to have been made during the 19th century, but their origins are unknown. The large Center one is a real treasure, An Akoso Eye Bead. Why not research, Google, and see what you find. This is a ver special piece, A Collectable.. I've strung the beads on strong 1mm cotton cord with sliding knots so that it can be worn in different lengths and I didn't want to put any contemporary findings, but rather, keep the piece as organic as possible. Very collectable beads..As I said, the center eye bead alone is very rare.!
