African Trade Bead Reproduction by Kate Drew-Wilkinson

I came across a bag of Millefiore chips I bought in Murano about 15 years ago. So I decided to try a series of Trade beads like the ones we love that were made in the 17th to 19th Century and taken to Africa. I have always loved and respected the work in those old beads. So This is one of my first. I've set it with Sterling Silver bead caps on Black cotton Cord with sliding knots so it can be worn in a variety of lengths. I made it matte to look as old as the originals! It's a new departure for me so those of you who collect might find it fun.
