Earrings Rare Japanese glass beads
These Japanese beads made in the 1940's are offically rare! If you have never come across the book pictured here by Robert Liu, it is time to find a copy. (I am not offering it for sale here, so sorry!)
Robert is one of the few living original authorities on bead history. He originally came out with a little Bead Journal in the 1970's, which graduated into the amazing publication, Ornament Magazine. His book is a treasure and the beads in these earrings are well featured on page 230 in the chapter on collecting beads. The color of this glass is comparable to the color listed by Swarovski as Montana blue.. just the PERFECT color to wear with jeans and any blue denim...They are small and smart and listed in this wonderful book! They hang 28 mm below their silver ear wires...get them while you can!
(ps.You may notice that I have brought my prices down... I am closing my gallery and do not have to keep my prices on Etsy at the same level as the gallery any more...)
