Oh Lordy , quick , if you are a collector, claim these. Just look at them and imagine their lives, their travels..Blue trade beads probably originated in Bohemia ( Czechoslovakia ) and first made their appearance in Russian America in the late 1700's. The only mystery is how the Russians obtained them. The Bohemians sent wagon trains of their glassware all over Europe including Russia . ... reputedly sold beads to the Russians. Mine have lived, been worn, traveled in pockets, been loved. Look at the long one, hand faceted. Observe the dents, the places where small chipped areas have been re-rounded off with time.
